Ohira natural stones are mined in Kyoto Japan. This Ohira is soft which means it has slightly larger particle size. Meaning its less fine then some others. I creates slurry well but could still use help from a nagura stone.
Ohira stones are great investments into the natural stone world. Easier then some others to use.
